Julia Sattler is director of the Goethe Institute, Brussels and the institute’s delegate for European Affairs. Previous postings have taken her to Syria, Tanzania, Ethiopia and the United Kingdom. She has a special interest in international cultural relations, starting with her PhD on European cultural foreign policy, through practical experience as a project manager in various multilateral projects, to the evaluation of the first pilot phase of European Spaces of Culture, managed by EUNIC.
